Very cool video!
The vortex coming off of the bullets at 500+ being so visible is really cool. Great dad moment also🎉🎉

This Man has a LOT of experience. Well done Sir!!! KnifeMaker/Retired after over 47+ Years in the Craft
That's awesome. We are trying for mile tomorrow 6/29 or 6/30. May I ask the size of the target at a mile
This is awesome and congratulations really. My 2 kids have a long range kick also. My 11yr old son nailed 1,400 with the same caliber and we are trying for mile this Saturday or Sunday, 6/29 or 6/30
New subscriber here. I've always wanted to take on the milk jug challenge, it looks fun as hell!!!!
Come out to a class and you can try them all. www.longrangeshootersofutah.com/classes/
Thank you for an informative video.
My Remington 700 fills my freezer every year.
Am i the only one yelling 24 up?
I'm accurate with Garand the at 300 yds open sight, 4-6 inch ring, scoped 400yds. Real shooters, hot barrel, the right ammo 600+ yds, I've heard of a few at 800 in a 12 ring, id have to see it though.
Awesome! One lucky guy, to have that opportunity!!👍
Good job
Center
Congrats!!!
High shoulder? 🔥 what bullet was that?
At this distance I group in an inch and a half😂
What was the twist and barrel length
What’s better than this, guys bein dudes
wow....nice
First shot 1000yrds is definition of dialed in
just bros being dudes
No idea if it was the engine or baggage weight but that is kinda a lucky call. Glad he made it
happy he knows what he is doing, pulling back more would stall the airplane.
Water and debris in his fuel lines. That’s what forced the emergency landing on the shooting range. He should have ran those engine longer to ensure clean fuel. The guy has giant coconut balls and no sense of
Ooo tough one
About all that rounds good for
🤦♂️

Excellent Shot Josh. Thanks for running the Matthew's Fabrication Cheek Riser with the Distressed American Flag for Perfect Eye alignment with your Scope. Shooting what??
A Ruger America 6.5 Creedmoor
Looks like a Ruger American Magpul Hunter.
Yup
Nice cold bore at that range 👍 throw down the weapon system/ammo info you’re using for us
That springfield 2020 on the back table 🔥🫡
Yup. He completed the 1000,1200 and I think the 1500 with it. Shot well
holding for 24 minutes does that mean he was holding waiting for the perfect shot for 24 minutes before he shot or what ive nevre heard that before
No, minutes is a degree of measurement like an angle. 24 minutes is the equivalent I think to 24 meters to a side at 1000m distance. So it's how much he's adjusting for the wind. My units could be off I think but that's the jist
1 degree dived by 60 is 1 minute of angle. In this case he had dialed 30 moa in his scope until it was maxed out then he used the reticle to hold an addition 24 moa. It’s the equivalent of about 800 inches at 1500 yards.
That man is proud as hell, is he your kin? 🤣
He’s my buddy. We work together and I talked him into taking the class
Are you using the red HV spring for shooting subs with the back-pressure of the can in the mix? Thanks!
What are your thoughts on mill versus MOA?
If you don’t have a scope already I think Mil is better for calculating range. If you know the size of the target you can find out how far away it is.
If you think better in metric buy MIL. If you think better in imperial buy moa. 1 mil is 10 cm at 100m. 1moa is 1.054 inches at 100 yards
@@awsomedude9111 you can do that with both MOA and Mils.
Both have pros and cons. MOA is a finer adjustment. Most MOA optics are 1/4 moa per click and 1/4 moa at 1000 yards is ~1/4” whereas a Mil optic has 1/10 mil clicks. 1 mil is 3.6” at 100 yards so 1/10 mil is ~.36” at 100 yards. This is both a pro and a con. Although moa is finer so you can make a finer adjustment, it takes a lot more fueling to get out to distance. For example, a 6.5 Creedmoor with 140 gr factory ammo takes roughly 27-30 moa to get to 1000 yards. Even if your turrets have 20 moa per revolution, it will take you more than one turn to get to 1000 yards whereas in Mils it only takes 7-8 Mils. So even if your turret is only 10 mils per revolution you can fail beyond 1000 without even going a full turn. For those more familiar with inches & feet, MOA is simpler. For those familiar with metric Mils is easier but both are easy to convert back and form if needed. BUT…what I tell people is that if doesn’t matter if your blue prints are in centimeters and meters as long as you have a measuring tape in cm/meters right? Well your reticle (crosshairs) is your measuring tape so it really doesn’t matter. Most in the USA start in moa because they’re more accustomed to it but if they compete in PRs they will generally move to Mils. Also your corrections are generally much easier to remember in Mils than moa because you have two digits to remember instead of potentially four. For example: 6.5 Creedmoor 600 yards 3.2 Mils vs 11.5 moa 700 yards 4.2 Mils vs 14.5 moa 800 yards 5 Mils vs 17.9 moa 900 yards 5.9 Mils vs 21.4 moa 1k yards 7 Mils vs 29.5 moa
With that said, I shoot almost exclusively Mils
And this is why we say 4-600 yard gun. 16” upper with 1-8x or 2-10x with a top mounted red dot and minimal other stuff. Now that’s a fun lighter weight spr type upper
bryce looks like shaggy from scooby doo lol
It’s true
Have you measured the target's speed? Or are you just guessing how much to lead^_^
David had so much to offer, but this with the constant interruptions is painful to watch.
left him hangin
he obviously wanted 2
Dude was so impressed he got stuck in fist bump mode
The hang-time surpassed even that of the 308 at 1000 lol.
Personally I wouldn't be wasting my ammunition shooting at that distance in strong wind. Hunting situations are different. You have a certain time limit and you can't be choosy.
It also makes a difference what your stock is made out of. My wood CZ's like the 15 to 20 range and open up at 22.5 to 30 which the wood will start crushing above that.
Incredible!!! Nicely done...
Me too
